A set of smart telematics services dedicated to the road-freight transport industry

Aberg Connect Sp. z o.o. is carrying out a project aiming to develop a product innovation on an international scale, in the form of three telematics services:

  1. An intelligent axle lift/lower recommendation service (IMST);
  2. An intelligent trailer cargo-space management service (IZPL);
  3. An intelligent transport management service (IINSZ).

As the transport industry moves toward automation and digitalisation, this has become a key factor in maintaining the market competitiveness of TSL (transport-forwarding-logistics) companies. The need to use transport fleets efficiently, safely and economically, while minimising their environmental impact, is a clearly identified market need. ABERG CONNECT will undertake work to develop innovative services that meet these market needs.

The project plans three stages of technological research and three stages of development work. Its main goals are to build a composite model combining various AI models representing the key elements of a heavy-goods trailer ecosystem for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight above 3.5 tonnes. Digital tools developed during the project will enable better management and optimisation of transport processes.

The services developed under the project are aimed at trailer users, including transport and logistics companies. The project aims to optimise haulage, bringing benefits such as lower transport costs, shorter journey times and more efficient loading.

The project is carried out under a grant agreement within the European Regional Development Fund, the European Funds for Modern Economy Programme, Priority: Support for Entrepreneurs, SMART Path.

Developing a method for determining a trailer vehicle's remaining useful life using AI methods based on real-time telematics data

The project's goal is to develop a product innovation — a service for determining the remaining useful life (RUL) of trailer-type vehicles with a gross vehicle weight above 3.5 tonnes, using real-time telematics data. Data analysis will use signal-processing and analysis methods, based in part on AI techniques. Insights from telematics data will allow RUL to be established based on selected vehicle parameters and its ongoing monitoring.

The project is carried out under a grant agreement within Sub-measure 1.1.1 of the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
